Stripping and Samba
Each furniture imbue a character of its own. In upholstering, the stripping process allows us to better understand the form and structure of an upholstered piece - it gives us a broader perspective of how best we should approach the re-upholstery work...in the right rhythm.

Bespoke Delivery
Here's a snapshot of a sign on a fire exit door that we couldn't help but notice at a delivery destination in San Francisco today...haven't seen one so elegantly done like this. The term White Glove Delivery Service sounds so in tune in this setting! No kidding! :)
Colors of Fall
It's still predominantly in the warm 70s in Burlingame, hence, our store window display is all bundled up for Fall!
A Refinisher's Color Palette
A refinisher relies on a range of earthy and vibrant pigments such as cherry, mahogany, and walnut stains to offer clients. Sometimes they are asked to strip down the old finish to apply something new or restore an original finish that needs a refresher. Either challenge, he has to be knowledgeable about the wood species because each one reacts differently to the stain. Not just the stain itself can simply determine a color but through experience, trial and error, and self-taught knowledge can he achieve the desired color.

There's something about how a chaise comes off appealingly voluptuous yet in a warm nonchalant way...the fox edge detail on this chaise that we are currently working on elevates the look with a subtle sense of sophistication.
